About me
Joe graduated in 1986 from University of Maine with a BS in Agriculture, then returned home to farm with his dad, Alban Bouchard.
His involvement in the industry consists of the following: Director of SJV Farm Service Agency (FSA), local agricultural bargaining council, SJV district board of Natural Resource Conservation Service, NRCS.
Married Janice in 1990 and raised 3 children together. One son, Philip, has continued the farming operation with his dad.
The main crop at the time of coming back home was potatoes and has since evolved into mainly a buckwheat farm along with raising beef cattle.
Janice helped with the paperwork, website, marketing, and filling orders while raising their family. She now owns and operates Bouchard’s Country Store, a local gift shop.
